As a small business owner three times over—and having owned a business with worldwide distribution and over 1000 employees—I learned a long time ago that when I needed help or guidance, my best resource was my fellow entrepreneurs—wise, generous friends who’d already been there, done that, and were willing to share their lessons learned. I learned concepts and strategy and gained enhanced accountability from my peer board participation.
Ultimately, it was tapping into that collective wisdom helped me grow the business and also told me it was the time to get out. That led me to sell my other businesses and form PRO – President’s Resource Organization is a network of peer group advisory boards for small business owners—back in 1993. I wanted to help others achieve the same
success.
The mission of PRO is to help our clients become more effective in both their business and personal life, through the use of open dialogue, peer group idea exchanges, education and camaraderie. With PRO, it does not need to be lonely at the top.
Since then, I’ve facilitated thousands of PRO peer group meetings, picking up hundreds of brilliantly simple ideas and solutions in the process. Much of the content presented in this workbook grew out of PRO peer group conversations. All of the worksheets were developed to benefit our peer group members.
